An eve-of-Fringe special event featuring classical, folk and experimental music to get things started. For the past two years local opera star Lucy Crowe OBE and husband Joe Walters continued their lockdown street concert legacy in the beautiful surroundings of St Mary’s. This year the music goes on – they will perform alongside local musician friends such as indie-folk act The Ageing Balladeer (Joe Walters and Josh Warren), free improvisation viola player Benedict Taylor, singer song-writer Ali McQueen and pre-teen songbird Elsie Walters. Expect wistful indie elegies, otherworldly sounds of local souls, and classic song ranging from Purcell, through Debussy. To Dua Lipa. Proceeds will be shared with Wanstead High School.
