Fabled Forest – Contemporary classical album audio walk

Fabled Forest is a new album of contemporary classical music composed by the local composer Marissa Landy who was also former theatre programmer for Wanstead Fringe. This album is also the first ever collaboration between Marissa Landy and Leigh Landy (world-renowned electro-acoustic composer). Marissa’s pieces were composed with Epping Forest in mind and takes the listener on a journey through Wanstead Park. Composed for marimba, vibraphone, harp and piano, the album is richly harmonic filled with forest wonder. Leigh, with the use of a text based around a forest encounter, has composed pieces that intersperse with Marissa’s creating a meandering journey both musically and for the audience to take on themselves. This will be a walk through the forest for around an hour so please be aware that some of the walk may be uneven and require footwear such as boots.
