Documentary Photography – Why Bother? Who Cares?

September 27, 2023 at 7:15 pm - 8:45 pm

£7.50

You may have seen Russell Boyce’s pictures of Wanstead High Street business owners last year. You might have seen his post Covid exhibition ‘Overheard in Lockdown’ in Wanstead Park this year. In the 1980’s Russell started photographing his local community in Hull and Peterborough. Between these dates he travelled the World working for Reuters as a news photographer and editor. We’re continuously bombarded with live colour images from every corner of the world so why bother shoot pictures on the doorstep in black and white using a vintage camera – after all, why bother? Who cares? Find out from Russell himself.
