SUMMARY:Mr Baldocci
DESCRIPTION:Mr Baldocci: Post-Truth Music-Theatre. \nMr Baldocci is a music-theatre spectacle for acting pianist\, answerphone machine\, stereo\, and stage props conceived and composed by Simone Spagnolo\, and inspired and performed by internationally acclaimed pianist Gabriele Baldocci. \nConstellated by a multitude of musical memories\, citations\, and interrupted beginnings sourced from the cultivated and popular past\, Mr Baldocci portrays a man looking for his own identity\, which ultimately reveals to be manifold and inconsistent. \nFragments and citations\, through poly-stylistic interweaving\, draw from collective and individual musical memories to eventually capture a liquid identity\, forming a metaphorical representation of our contemporary post-truth condition. Mr Baldocci also questions the role of the composer in a post-truth world\, reimagining his craft as that of a stealer and falsifier: that steals to recompose\, and that forges to create alternative truths. \nWritten between 2022 and 2024\, Mr Baldocci premiered in Lawrence Hall\, at the London College of Music\, as part of the 2025 LCM Composition Festival\, and it will  tour in Europe in the spring of 2026. \n\nTickets: £15 full price\, £12 concession (under 18 and over 60)\nNote: This event is not suitable for children under 13 years old

SUMMARY:Constellations by Nick Payne
DESCRIPTION:After the success of their “compelling\, cogent and captivating” (LondonTheatre1 ) production of Miss Julie at last year’s Wanstead Fringe\, East London Theatre Company returns with Constellations by Nick Payne\, a beautifully inventive play that blends romance\, science and philosophy in a tender\, funny and moving exploration of love and possibility. \nWhen a chance meeting brings Marianne\, a physicist\, and Roland\, a beekeeper\, together\, their relationship unfolds across multiple parallel universes. Every decision they make\, or don’t make\, leads to a different outcome. The result is playful\, poignant and often sharply funny\, offering a celebration of the infinite possibilities of human connection. \nFirst staged at the Royal Court Theatre and revived to critical acclaim in the West End in 2021\, Constellations has been hailed as one of the most original and affecting dramas of the last decade. East London Theatre Company brings this modern classic to life in a fresh\, intimate production\, staged in-the-round to draw audiences into the heart of the story. \nSuitable 14+

SUMMARY:Reveries
DESCRIPTION:Immersive harp and vocal soundscapes. \nReveries is a headphone-based immersive play combining harp music\, narrative text\, and spatial sound design. The session features the full audio experience. \nSet in a world where time slips and memory distorts\, Reveries invites listeners into a liminal sonic landscape inhabited by the voices of the departed — fragments of souls clinging to memory to resist oblivion. As recollections dissolve\, truth intertwines with imagined lives\, and the harp becomes a story keeper: preserving memory through sound and guiding us through a shifting terrain of remembrance and forgetting. \nDrawing from immersive theatre and narrative sound practices\, this work creates a poetic\, interiorised experience. Binaural audio collapses internal and external space\, making sound feel as if it emerges from within the listener’s mind. \nCreative team: \n\nClara Gatti Comini\, harpist/curator\nSimone Spagnolo\, co-curator\nGiordano Trischitta\, playwright\nAnastasios Antoniou\, composer\nFelix Hirte\, sound designer\n\nSupported by the UK Harp Association Creative Fund and London College of Music. \n\nTickets: £12 full price\, £10 concession (under 18 and over 60)\nNote: This event is not suitable for children under 10 years old

SUMMARY:Myths\, Maps and Monsters: Zeus' Birthday Bash!
DESCRIPTION:The children of Wanstead are invited to the birthday of Zeus\, King of the Gods! \nHe’s two billion years old but he only looks one billion… (he has a great skincare regime!). But what promises to be a great celebration is tragically cut short when it turns out the evil Medusa has stolen all the birthday treats! Luckily\, our fearless young warriors are up to the task of tracking her down and saving the day! \nSplit into two Greek tribes who will compete in a variety of games and puzzles\, the Spartans and the Athenians will navigate a chaotic world of mischievous Gods\, wise Goddesses and fearsome monsters\, to retrieve the treasure\, defeat Medusa\, and restore order to ancient Greece! \n\nAbout Myths\, Maps & Monsters: \nMyths\, Maps & Monsters’ shows involve children in the action every step of the way\, with everything from soft-play archery and gladiator-fighting\, to brainteasing memory games and devilish quizzes\, all of which drive the story forward towards the end of the quest! \nHere are some parent quotes from the company’s debut run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2024: \n\n“This is awesome! So clever. It’s a good way for kids to learn while having fun and it’s also really funny! Great games! The performers were so good at remembering everyone’s names (the kids in the audience).”\n“Great show. Lots of fun and highly entertaining for children (& adults) The two performers really interacted brilliantly with the kids.”\n“Great show! My 8 & 10 year olds were fully engaged and enjoyed the full show. The mini games were fun and kept it moving. The two performers had great energy – enough to be educational but not pretentious at all. Definitely recommend!”\n“Just returned with 8 & 10 year old grand kids from Myths etc – The two guys were really good at involving the kid’s & grownups playing along with their happy games. Excellent show.”
