Wanstead Pottery: Hand-Building taster (adult)

Welcome to Wanstead Pottery. A calm and inviting space​ ​for you to explore the marvellous medium of clay.

Have fun experimenting with form, texture and decorative​ ​techniques and create​ ​something you will cherish​ ​with this natural, tactile and versatile material.​ 

Taster sessions are a fun way to introduce yourself to pottery. In this introductory class you will be guided through the basics of hand-building, using a very accessible and versatile method of forming clay

You will keep your best hand-built pot from the session
After it has dried fully and been fired, the piece will be glazed for you There will be the opportunity to choose a glaze from the select range of studio dipping glazes.

Once your piece has completed its second firing and is ready for collection you will be notified by email, approximately 6 to 8 weeks later.

The price includes all materials used during the session Aprons will be provided.
