Coronavirus strategy

Government regulations on groups of more than 30 people still apply in England, and so we are carefully formulating our policies for the operation of the Kinema in association with Wanstead Cricket Club, our cinema supplier and Redbridge Council.

Our current policy is below but this is subject to amendment and updating right up until the event itself.

Wanstead Cricket Club already has strict rules in place for its ground, including entrance only through the car park, and exit via the road to the cricket club. For men and boys there is toilet at the far end of the club house; women and girls will use the toilet inside the clubhouse where masks are obligatory.

Attendees will be asked to wear masks when they are moving around the site and keep social distance when they are seated.

The bar will be open but will operate on a one-out, one-in basis. To help speed service, orders may be taken outside by staff.

Ticket purchases are limited to six, whether adults or children, and must not consist of people of more than two households. Ticket groups will have to sit together and will be asked to maintain appropriate social distance from adjacent groups.

Stewards will direct groups to appropriate areas for seating. The terms and conditions of tickets state clearly that attendees agree to abide by the directions of stewards and that adults must be responsible for the compliance of their children.
